About Clubtab

What is Clubtab?

Clubtab is a team money app for grassroots sports clubs in the UK. Parents pay subs, match fees and kit online, managers record cash and bank transfers, every family gets a clear statement, and the club treasurer sees every team in one place.

Who is Clubtab for?

Volunteer team managers, club treasurers and the parents who pay them, in any sport: football, rugby, netball, hockey, cricket and more. It’s built for junior and grassroots adult teams.

Can Clubtab replace our team spreadsheet?

Yes. Import your spreadsheet and a bank statement in about 20 minutes, and Clubtab keeps the balances from then on. Your old sheet stays as it was.

Prices and fees

How much does Clubtab cost?

Free for one team, with a 20p Clubtab fee on each online payment. Team is £49 a season with no Clubtab fee. Club is £199 a season including 5 teams, then £29 for each extra team.

Compare the plans

What does it cost when a parent pays online?

Stripe’s processing fee: 1.5% + 20p for a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, or 1% capped at £4 for Direct Debit. On a £10 card payment that’s 35p. On the Free plan Clubtab adds 20p. Parents pay exactly what you ask, and fees come out of what the team receives, because UK law doesn’t allow card surcharges.

Why is Clubtab priced per season?

Grassroots sport runs in seasons, so you pay once a season. Seasons start on 1 August unless your club picks another date, such as 1 March for cricket. Join mid-season and you only pay for the months left, with a 3-month minimum.

Can we cancel?

Yes. Cancel any time and your plan won’t renew. If you signed up as an individual you can cancel within 14 days for a refund, minus the days used. If a renewal isn’t paid, you move to Free after 14 days and keep all your records.

Payments and money

Where does the money go?

Straight to your team’s or club’s own bank account, through Stripe. Clubtab never holds your money.

How do parents pay?

From a link on their statement, by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Direct Debit. They don’t need an account or an app.

What about cash and bank transfers?

Record cash in a couple of taps, and upload your team’s bank statement as a CSV file once a month. Clubtab matches transfers to players and asks you about anything it isn’t sure of.

Do we need to connect our bank account?

No. Online payments match themselves, and a monthly statement upload covers everything else. A live bank feed is planned as an optional add-on later.

Data and safety

Where is our data kept?

In the UK (London), encrypted in transit and at rest. Your club or team owns its records, and we process them on your behalf under UK GDPR.

Can Clubtab staff see our account?

Only with your permission. Support has to ask first, you choose for how long, it’s read-only unless you allow changes, and every page they open is logged. Staff can never move money or change bank details.

Is Clubtab accessible?

Clubtab is built to WCAG 2.2 AA. It works with a keyboard, screen readers and large text, and respects dark mode and reduced-motion settings. Our accessibility statement explains how we test and how to report a problem.
