Accessibility statement
We want everyone who runs, pays for or plays in a grassroots team to be able to use Clubtab, whatever device they use and however they use it.
Prepared 5 October 2026 · Last reviewed 5 October 2026
The short version
- We build Clubtab to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA.
- We test every page with automated tools on every change, and by hand with screen readers before each release.
- If something doesn’t work for you, email [email protected] and we’ll reply within 5 working days.
What this statement covers
This statement covers the website at clubtab.co.uk, the Clubtab app at app.clubtab.co.uk, the statement and payment pages parents open from a link, and the emails and PDFs Clubtab sends.
What you should be able to do
- Use everything with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline
- Use a screen reader such as VoiceOver, TalkBack or NVDA
- Zoom to 400% with the text reflowing, and no scrolling sideways
- Use your phone’s larger text, dark mode and reduce-motion settings
- Tell what something means without relying on colour
- Fill in forms with clear labels, and errors explained in words
- Tap buttons easily: everything is at least 44 pixels across
- Read everything in plain English, with no time limits
How accessible Clubtab is
We aim to fully meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We don’t know of anything that fails it right now. Our first full test by hand, with screen readers and people who use them day to day, happens before launch, and we’ll list here anything it finds and when we’ll fix it.
Parts provided by others
Card and Direct Debit payments use a form provided by Stripe. We test it with screen readers before each release and report any problems to Stripe. If it doesn’t work for you, contact us and we’ll help the person collecting the money arrange another way for you to pay.
Other formats and help
If you need a statement, receipt or year-end pack in another format, such as large print or a plain text email, ask the person who runs your team, or email [email protected]. Year-end packs come as a web page alongside the PDF.
Reporting a problem
We’re always working to improve. If you find a problem we haven’t listed, or you think we’re not meeting the standard, email [email protected]. Tell us the page and what happened. We’ll reply within 5 working days.
If you’re not happy with how we respond, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
How we test
- Every page is checked automatically on every change, at phone and desktop sizes, with axe and Lighthouse.
- Every main task, such as signing up, recording cash and paying, is tested with a keyboard alone on every change.
- Before each release we test by hand with VoiceOver on iPhone, TalkBack on Android, NVDA on Windows, keyboard only and 400% zoom.
- Every three months we run a session with people who use assistive technology day to day.
